The quality of that indoor air can have an impact on the health of
most people, with a particular emphasis on children, the elderly, and the
chronically ill. Poor Indoor Air Quality in the home, resulting in mold,
allergens, and other irritants, can potentially represent a life-threatening
health crisis for vulnerable residents.
The Sonoma County Asthma Coalition is working with Fair Housing of Sonoma
County (FHOSC) to adopt a resolution in Sonoma County that prioritizes
mold abatement in building code enforcement of rental and multiple tenant
properties. Furthermore, FHOSC has available information about what to
do if you have mold in your home.
Coming Soon: A brochure on indoor air quality, mold, and asthma is rental
housing: landlord and tenant rights and responsibilities.
For more information about this campaign and to find out what you can
do about mold problems in your home, check out Fair Housing of
Sonoma County’s website at http://www.fhosc.org.
